In May, Microsoft announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the next game in Activision’s popular shooter series, could be available on Xbox Game Pass when it launches in October. However, another Call of Duty game might come to the subscription service even sooner.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on Game Pass
According to Insider Gaming, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which was released last year, could be offered with Xbox Game Pass later this month. Although no actual date has been given, sources say it will be in the second half of the month. Windows Central has additionally raised this possibility, however, Microsoft and Activision have not yet made any professional announcements.
Currently, no Call of Duty video games are available on Xbox Game Pass. Last year, Microsoft’s Gaming CEO, Phil Spencer, mentioned that Call of Duty and different Activision Blizzard games wouldn’t be on Game Pass until 2024 because of regulatory problems delaying Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision. Spencer said that Microsoft couldn’t add Activision games to Game Pass till the buyout was finalized.
Black Ops 6 to launch day one on Game Pass
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 can be the primary game in the series to be available on Game Pass on its release day, October 25. Modern Warfare 3, which came out on November 10 last year, is the latest game in the series. Older Call of Duty games also are expected to be introduced to Game Pass over time, however, Microsoft hasn’t supplied a timeline for this.
